The first time I tried to download the converter from the Steam workshop, it was a few months ago when we were still on version 1.25. of EU4. Back when I first downloaded it the converter was only compatible with 1.24.

Because it seemed in every discussion forum I found that the converter wouldn’t be updated until 1.26 came out, I went ahead and unsubscribed and deleted the mod from the mod folder. Later, once 1.26 had come out and an update for the converter came out, I updated my EU4 to 1.26 and then re-subscribed to the new version of the converter that should’ve been compatible with 1.26. Right away, everything was fine. Then I closed the EU4 launcher and when I opened it again, I got the incompatibility marker on the converter in the mod screen, which said that the converter was only compatible with 1.24. This is weird because the converter had already been updated to 1.26.

I tried to unsubscribe, delete, and resubscribe a bunch, but every time I tried this, once I opened the EU4 launcher again the converter had the incompatibility marker with the same message. Ultimately I gave up and unsubscribed and deleted the mod again. I came back eventually (EU4 is now in version 1.27 and the mod hasn’t been updated since 1.26, though I don’t know if it’s a problem for people who can run the converter) and tried to subscribe again. Once again, I got the same incompatibility marker.
I haven’t tried reinstalling the game altogether or anything like that, I’m not super pressed at the moment but I do want to try and play a mega-campaign at some time and this is obviously a big obstacle for that. Before I took another crack at it I figured I’d ask on some discussion forums to see if maybe I’m just installing it wrong or something. Has anyone had this problem before? If so do you know of a fix? Is there something I’m missing that I should be trying here?
